Henry Linnard, LIFE IP CleanEST kommunikatsioonijuht

This week, we once again had the opportunity to welcome representatives of the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) – their second visit to the LIFE IP CleanEST project.

Over the course of two days, we presented the project’s achievements so far and our plans for the future, as well as showcasing the work carried out on the ground. It was great to show how much has changed since the previous visit – for example, at the Püssi dam, where the former dam has now been replaced by a nature-like fish passage and rapids, reopening the river to fish.

We also visited the Põlula Fish Rearing Centre and a site along the Purtse River where residual pollution has been remediated.

The meeting was a good opportunity to look back at what has been achieved, discuss the project’s results, and talk about the next steps and how to build on what has been accomplished.
