Earlier this year, the Environmental Board invited people in Virumaa, as part of the LIFE IP CleanEST project, to notice and photograph the water bodies in their local area, their wildlife, and the impact of human activity on the aquatic environment. A selection of the photographs submitted to the competition has now made its way to an exhibition.
The photo exhibition “In the Footsteps of Virumaa Water” can be visited in the foyer of the AHHAA Science Centre until 18 November.
The photographs capture the beauty and biodiversity of Virumaa’s water bodies, as well as the traces of human activity and the changing aquatic environment.
After its time at AHHAA, we hope to bring the exhibition back to Virumaa and make it available for display at local government offices, libraries and other community spaces.
A big thank you to all the photographers who took part in the competition. Their perspectives and photographs help us notice and tell the stories of Virumaa’s waters.
If you visit AHHAA before 19 November, be sure to stop by the exhibition!
